This notice explains how Manatee Swim School handles information from parents and adults who inquire about or arrange swimming lessons, including through our website and Facebook or Instagram inquiry forms.
Information you provide
When you inquire, we receive the contact details you submit, such as your name, email address and phone number, along with your answers about pool access and any other details you choose to share. Our website also lets you optionally provide your child’s age and a description of the swimmer.
If you go on to book, we need additional details to arrange lessons, such as the lesson location, schedule and relevant swimmer information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Please do not put payment card details or sensitive medical information in an advertising inquiry form.
How we use your information
Ben and Manatee Swim School use your inquiry to contact you about your swimmer, answer questions, provide prices, check instructor availability and arrange lessons if you decide to book. We also use inquiry and service records to manage follow-up, provide customer support and understand which advertising brings inquiries.
Submitting an inquiry is not a booking and does not require payment. It is a request for us to follow up about lessons, not permission for unrelated marketing.
Who receives information
Information is handled by the people and service providers needed to respond to your inquiry and run the service. These include our website hosting and form provider, Netlify; email delivery providers, including Resend; and Meta when you submit a Facebook or Instagram form. Relevant lesson details may be shared with the instructor involved in arranging or teaching your lessons. Stripe handles payment information if you proceed to booking.
Information may also need to be disclosed to comply with a legal requirement or to address fraud, security or safety issues. Third-party services handle information under their own privacy notices as well as their arrangements with us.
Website and advertising information
Our website uses the Meta Pixel to measure visits and actions such as completed inquiries. Meta can receive browser or device identifiers, information about the page visited and the action taken. Our website also saves advertising source information in your browser’s session storage so an inquiry can be associated with the ad that brought you to us. Hosting providers receive technical information needed to serve and protect the website.
Facebook and Instagram may prefill your contact details in their forms; please review and correct them before submitting. You can manage browser cookies and review your advertising choices in your Meta account. See Meta’s Privacy Policy for how Meta handles information.
Children and swimmer information
Our inquiry forms are intended for parents, guardians and adults, not for children to submit their own contact details. Please provide your own contact details and only the swimmer information needed for us to help. Questions about a child’s information can be sent to the contact below. Use of swimmer photos and videos is addressed separately in our lesson policies.
Your choices and contacting us
You can ask us to stop following up, correct information, or review or delete information associated with your inquiry by emailing ben@manateeswimschool.com. We may need to verify that a request comes from the right person. Some service, payment or other records may need to be retained for legal or business recordkeeping reasons; we will explain any applicable limitation when responding.
